En mi programa hemisferios de Decision Radio solemos entrevistar a catedráticos de Universidad de renombrada capacidad docente y amplia experiencia investigadora.

En esta entrevista, además, tenemos el placer de tener a uno que además es escritor de númerosos libros, y que ha sido finalista del premio planeta.

José María Martinez Val ha sido Director de la Escuela de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid, Vicerrector de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Presidente de la sección de Ingenieros de la Real Academia de Doctores de España, Presidente de la Sociedad Nuclear Española y Presidente del Comité Científico y Técnico de EURATOM en la Unión Europea

Autor de 170 publicaciones técnicas y de una treintena de patentes.  Ha recibido diversas menciones honorificas: Premio a la trayectoria profesional del Colegio de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid, Medalla de la Sociedad Nuclear Española, Máster de Oro del Fórum de Alta Dirección, Medallas de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y García Cabrerizo de honor a la Invención y recientemente medalla de Oro de la Escuela de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid, la primera desde hace más de 40 años. En 2021 fue nombrado socio de Honor de la de la Asociación de Ex diputados y Ex senadores de las cortes generales por su contribución científica a esta asociación.

Es sin duda una persona cautivadora, a la que alumnos suyos en la Escuela de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid, entre los cuales me incluyo, le debemos maravillosas clases magistrales. Esta entrevista pretende ser un homenaje para él.

In my program Hemisferios in Decision Radio we use to have interviews with professors distinguished by their teaching and investigation.

In this interview we have the opportunity to listen to one who is writer of several books, and that has been finalist of Premio Planeta.

Jose Maria Martinez Val has been Director of the Industrial Engineering School of Madrid, ViceRector of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, President of the engineer section of the Royal Academy of PhDs of Spain, ´President of the Nuclear Society of Spain and Predident of the Technical& Scientific Committee of EURATOM.

Author of more than 170 publications and 30 patents, he has numerous nominations: Prize to professional career by the Association of Chartered Engineers of Madrid, Medal of the Spanish Nuclear Association, Golden Master of the Senior Leadership Forum, Medals of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Garcia Cabrerizo to the Invention, and recently golden Medal from Industrial Engineering School of Madrid, first in the last 40 years. In 2021 he was nominated honoured associated to the Association of Ex parliamentarians and senators of Spanish courts due to his scientific contributions.

He is, without any doubt, a captivating person, to whom pupils, like me, owe to him impressive master classes. This interview pretend to be a tribute to him.
