Lo que hoy conocemos como realidad virtual ha alcanzado un nivel de realismo tal, que permite muchas nuevas aplicaciones, tanto en visitas virtuales en el segmento turístico y del ocio, hasta la posibilidad de ver y casi tocar realizaciones que aun no han sido fabricadas. Esto abre un mundo de negocio alrededor sin límites. Maxime cuando los costes de producción y explotación han conseguido cotas muy asequibles para el productor y para el usuario. A donde llegara esta posibilidad de vivir experiencias sensoriales virtuales, no sabemos, aunque los promotores del denominado metaverso o mundos virtuales paralelos, parecen no ponerle limites

El pasado día 31 de Agosto tuve el placer de entrevistar a Sergio Usón, Director de la empresa Mediacom, pionero en todo lo que es realidad virtual y especialista en todo lo que es producir este tipo de contenidos. En la entrevista analizamos la evolución de la tecnología, el estado actual y sus posibilidades, y nos adentramos en lo que puede devenir en el futuro

What we call today virtual reality has reached such level of realism that allow us a lot of applications, as virtual visits in the tourism and leisure segment, as well as bringing to us the possibility to walk through realizations that still have not been fabricated. This opens a wide world of applications that has no limits. Specially because the very acceptable cost of production and exploitation, for the producer as well as for the end user. We don’t know what will be the end of this possibility of living virtual sensual experiences, but the promotors of what we call Metaverso or parallel virtual worlds, looks that promiss no limits for this experiences.

Past August 31th I have the pleasure to have interview with Sergio Uson, Managing Director of Mediacom, pioneer in all which is related with virtual reality, and specialist in such kind of media. In the interview we analyse the evolution of this technology, the current status and possibilities and finally we enter in what could be the future evolution.
