Las asociaciones de fabricantes son otro ejemplo de actores de la sociedad civil, que, como los colegios profesionales, tienen un papel importante y decisivo en el desarrollo económico y social de un país. Nacen de la necesidad de fabricantes de un mismo sector, y con problemáticas parecidas, con el objetivo de intercambiar información y defender sus derechos. Son un gran dinamizador de la economía y de las empresas del país. Además, ejercen función de influencia regulatoria sobre los cuerpos del estado que se ocupan de la normalización, y desarrollan tareas formativas y divulgativas, entre otras muchas

AFBEL agrupa a los fabricantes de bienes de equipo eléctrico y hemos tenido el placer de entrevistar en Hemisferios a su Presidente, Guillermo Amann y a su Directora General Mar Duque. Guillermo es Ingeniero industrial por la Escuela Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Bilbao y Doctor en Sistemas Eléctricos de Potencia. Ha desarrollado la práctica totalidad de su carrera profesional en Ormazabal, empresa perteneciente al grupo industrial familiar español Velatia. En la actualidad ocupa la posición de Adjunto al Presidente, siendo responsable de las relaciones institucionales y sectoriales y colaborando en el desarrollo estratégico del negocio. Vicepresidente e otras dos asociaciones:  T&D EUROPE y AEDIVE (Asociación Española para el Desarrollo y el Impulso de la Movilidad Eléctrica). En la actualidad actúa como portavoz del Foro español para la Electrificación y es miembro del High Level Clean Energy Industrial Forum, órgano consultivo de la Comisión Europea.

Mar Duque es Ingeniera Superior de Telecomunicaciones, con MBA en Hawaii Pacific University. Hasta la fecha ha desempeñado su trayectoria profesional tanto fuera como en España, si bien ha dedicado casi ya 20 años al mundo asociativo.

Manufacturers’ associations are another example of civil society actors, similar to professional associations, that play an important and decisive role in the economic and social development of a country. They arise from the needs of manufacturers in the same sector, facing similar issues, with the goal of exchanging information and defending their rights. They are a great driver of the economy and the country’s businesses. Additionally, they exert regulatory influence on government bodies responsible for standardization, and carry out educational and outreach tasks, among many others.

AFBEL represents manufacturers of electrical equipment and we had the pleasure of interviewing their President, Guillermo Amann, and their General Director, Mar Duque, on Hemisferios, a Decision Media Spain program. Guillermo holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Higher School of Industrial Engineering in Bilbao and a Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems. He has spent the majority of his professional career at Ormazabal, a company belonging to the Spanish family industrial group Velatia. Currently, he holds the position of Deputy to the President, responsible for institutional and sectoral relations, as well as contributing to the strategic development of the business. He is also Vice President of two other associations: T&D EUROPE and AEDIVE (Spanish Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility). Currently, he serves as spokesperson for the Spanish Forum for Electrification and is a member of the High-Level Clean Energy Industrial Forum, an advisory body to the European Commission..
